Update

Hi everyone

I have decided what I am going to sell. I will make Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate fudge and coconut ice. All of my baking will be gluten and nut free. I am working on a form and hope to get it out soon.

Coconut Ice

Hi everyone

In the weekend I made coconut ice. The first try didn't work as it was like a liquid and wouldn't set.
I tried again and this time it worked! I found that the first time I didn't add enough coconut and too much condensed milk. This time I added more coconut and it worked.

Ferndale

Hi everyone

I got an e-mail back from ferndale and this is what it said:


Hello Grace,

I am sorry not to have replied sooner to your email. I have been away. 

What a very kind gesture it is for you to offer to raise money for our school. 

 We are very short of books. We need picture books that teachers can read to the students. Suitable ones can be quite hard to find. Our students like books with rhyme and rhythm in them. Books with lines that are repeated are good too. 

We need books for older students as well that are simple but not babyish. 

An example of a book that is very popular is Pete the Cat. If you google it you will be able to hear it. 

I am in charge of literacy and I am in the process of getting some titles of suitable books. I could send some titles through to you if you would like me to.  

Even if your baking meant we could get one book that would be really helpful.

Progress

Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't wrote in a while a lot has been going on. I have sent an e-mail to Ferndale and are yet to get an reply and have nearly finished the order form and prices. In the weekend I will try my baking and will aim for forms to be out by the end of term or the start of term 3. I think that I am on track and will hope to bake over the holidays
